The U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, Office of the Middle East, AmCham Abu Dhabi, and AmCham Dubai will be holding a virtual roundtable with the U.S. business community on Tuesday, January 5 at 3:00 PM UAE time in advance of upcoming data privacy workshops that we hope to have with the UAE Government in mid-to-late January 2021. We would very much welcome your participation!

The roundtable will be at the working level, with Jim Cramer from the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, Office of the Middle East, as well as other regional and data privacy specialists representing the International Trade Administration participating. This event will be closed to the press and all information relayed by the participants will be kept fully confidential.

Some of the topics that we hope to cover during our bilateral workshops with the UAE Government include the NIST Privacy Framework, the U.S. approach to Cybersecurity, and the APEC cross-border privacy rules. We would very much appreciate your candid input as we prepare to engage in these meetings, so that we may directly bring your concerns to them.
