Squire Patton Boggs​ (SPB) partners Shannon Reaves and Bridget McGovern will present and host a discussion on the U.S. Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). As CFIUS rises in prominence in the U.S. due to its expanding authority over foreign investment, this presentation and discussion will address the full scope of CFIUS jurisdiction, industries of most sensitivity, successful structuring of transactions before CFIUS, and the new Trump Administration National Security Policy Memorandum, including the changes it outlines for CFIUS policy going forward.

About the Speakers

Shannon Reaves is Co-Chair of SPB's International Trade and Foreign Investment Practice and Bridget McGovern is the former Assistant Secretary for Trade and Economic Security at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and was a member of CFIUS for almost three years, as well as ran one of the largest CFIUS deals during the first Trump Administration.
