About the Event

The power of diversity is immense. Imagine an equal workplace, where everyone is collectively committed to creating an environment that enables every employee to be their best selves and take risks for change.

We would like to invite you to join the webinar entitled "The Power of Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion in the Legal Profession", a joint webinar by the AmCham Abu Dhabi's Women in Business and Legal Affairs Committees.

The time is now to increase awareness and advocate for the importance of Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives in the legal sector. "The Power of DE&I in the Legal Profession," targets in-house lawyers and law firms that wish to harness the opportunity to diversify their talent and accelerate their path to success. Greater diversity brings more innovative solutions that are, in turn, more resilient to change. With this aim in mind, many organizations in the legal sector are enhancing initiatives to drive DE&I. By creating a diverse corporate environment, developmental possibilities and new paths open up as perspectives broaden and thinking become more agile.

The webinar will highlight the experiences of legal professionals from organizations such as ADNOC, Accenture, Clyde & Co, Raytheon Emirates Ltd., and UPS. Our speakers will discuss the tangible progress on DE&I that has been made, ways in which legal procedures and policies can assist in DE&I's continued growth, as well as how a diverse team of legal professionals can better contribute to problem-solving.

By attending this webinar, you will:

  • Gain knowledge about the state of the legal industry concerning DE&I initiatives.
  • Understand how to utilize the law to create a diverse, comfortable, and equitable working environment, through practical initiatives as well as certification programs.
  • Learn about real-world examples from multinational corporations that have succeeded in making progress.
  • Pick up strategies to increase diversity in the workplace and how to harness that diversity.
  • Be a part of a crucial conversation on what it means to be diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
