I’m delighted to have joined full force in the office alongside our talented professional staff who have been moving mountains as a small but powerful team to serve our esteemed members. This year the UAE announced 2025 as the “Year of Community” – Hand in Hand. It couldn’t have come at a better time for AmCham as we enter the preparations for our 40th anniversary in 2026. Our strength has been in our collaborative and innovative mindset, placing Abu Dhabi’s exponential growth plans and US business interests at the forefront of all our activities.
As your new Executive Director, I’m rolling up my sleeves to optimize our operations, expand our strategy in programming, support wider awareness of our impact, and further develop initiatives and member-focused support. I can only do this with the exceptional continued support of our Board of Directors, laser-focused committees, and active engagement of our members and stakeholders. I look forward to meeting all our members over the next quarter and invite you to visit AmCham Abu Dhabi, and work with me to understand how you can maximize your membership ‘Hand in Hand'.

The Legal Affairs Committee (LAC) has made strong progress on several key initiatives. The AmCham Abu Dhabi bylaws were officially approved on March 20th — a big thank you to Charles Laubach, Partner; Afridi & Angell, for leading this effort and to all members for their contributions.
Looking ahead, the LAC will be hosting: - Session on CFIUS regulations (May 1) lead by Squire Patton Boggs and Courtney Sader, General Counsel, Raytheon Emirates Ltd with a Keynote from Tanya Cole, Regional Director for Gulf and Commercial Counselor in UAE
The LAC is excited about building a strong and engaging event pipeline for the remainder of the year and invites all professionals in private and government sectors interacting with legal, regulatory or compliance functions to let us know of their interest in membership and the committee. |

On May 13th AmCham Abu Dhabi will gather its Board of Directors and selected stakeholders from our Elite Club membership and Founding members in a strategic messaging workshop. The aim is to optimize our communication pillars and advocacy materials that support all levels of our membership in line with Abu Dhabi’s needs and ambitious plans.
