The Legal Affairs Committee (LAC) serves as a forum for legal professionals operating in Abu Dhabi, enabling them to discuss issues of common interest. The LAC provides a vehicle to engage Abu Dhabi institutions and further facilitate the development of the Abu Dhabi legal framework. In addition to launching the first annual AmCham Abu Dhabi-UAE University Internship Program, the LAC has activated a forum for legal professionals to discuss cutting-edge issues. LAC has also worked to address key issues for US companies doing business in the Emirate, as identified in our report from the 2017 Roundtable Summit. Through partnership with the US Embassy and Abu Dhabi Government Institutions, the LAC seeks to improve and strengthen the economic ties between the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
