The World Health Organization has called climate change the biggest health threat facing humanity. On the first thematic day focusing on health at COP28 UAE and in the collaboration with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce I had the chance to advocate for a collective call to action across industries and sectors by showcasing the cost of no action. The climate crisis threatens to undo the last fifty years of progress in development, global health, and poverty reduction. How can we adress those challenges sustainably and effectively? @Viatris we are committed to doing our part of sustaining access to medicines and understand that collaboration with partners at all levels will be key to further strengthen the healthcare systems we rely on and continue to serve patients in more than 165 countries.

Join me tomorrow at the FAB pavilion COP28 UAE green zone as we showcase the role of partnerships in shaping the future of a healthy world ,and enabling resilient healthcare systems that can mitigate climate change impact on patients and access to healthcare. What are some of the lessons learned and what should those partnerships focus on? I am looking forward for an insightful discussion with esteemed panelists, hosted by the US-UAE Business Council.

Celebrating the 52nd National Day of the United Arab Emirates with an immense feeling of pride for being part of a nation that constantly strives to make a global impact and to lead bodly, inspiring the world , global leaders and communities. Happy UAE National Day !

A great milestone for #NYUAbuDhabi marking the completion of Phase 1 of the Healthy Future Study aimed at understating and preventing obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. A collaborative effort of excellence in population health research in the region.

This morning at the Forbes Middle East Healthcare Summit I exposed the critical need to act on climate change as an enabler of better “acess to healthcare”. I hope that by sharing Viatris’ and others work in the healthcare sector I have helped inspire others on our journey towards the realization of sustainable and equitable healthcare across geographies. The only limitation on what can be done is the length and breadth of our imaginations and our willingness to form public and private partnerships. At @Viatris our focus is for a better world that provides sustainable access to healthcare. So, delivering on our mission to empower people worldwide to live healthier at every stage of life.

Viatris’ commitment to “access” is unwavering - sustainably delivering high-quality medicines and health solutions at scale to people, regardless of geography or circumstance. While we are proud of what we have accomplished - and the efforts across the sector - we know that the unmet needs are bigger than what any one entity can do alone and they will constantly evolve.
