March was a very exciting and one of the busiest months for AmCham Abu Dhabi. We were delighted to be back to in-person events and extremely proud to be a Platinum Sponsor of the Trade Winds Middle East and Africa Business Forum and Mission, the largest U.S. government-led trade mission and business development forum, organized by the U.S. Commercial Service, and held in Dubai, UAE, at the same time as World Expo.
The Trade Winds Business Forum and Mission, the multifaceted program designed to help companies achieve growth and exposure in specific markets or regions around the world, was an excellent opportunity to position our organization as a leader in facilitating trade and promoting commerce, investment, and goodwill between our members, the U.S. and the U.A.E. The forum featured meetings with U.S. commercial diplomats from over 20 countries in the Middle East, North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa, insightful panel discussions and conference programming: featuring the Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Marisa Lago, amongst others, and plenty of networking receptions. AmCham Abu Dhabi team members made meaningful and productive connections while engaging with diverse businesses participating in the business mission. A live Falcon was present as well at AmCham Abu Dhabi’s booth, signifying the organization’s logo, which denotes one of UAE's national symbols, as falconry itself is a major aspect of Emirati culture. And it represents strength, national heritage, ambition and superiority, as well as a metaphor for clear vision. |
